Student Ministries
Student ministry is greatly misunderstood in the local church. The people of the church fail to associate the youth with being an active part of the church. Rather, they use youth ministry as an avenue to merely drop off their youth to be entertained so that they may engage in their own worship. While this personal time of worship is important, it is also important to realize that the youth are not just the church of tomorrow; but they are also the church of today. Youth services are not a time for entertainment. They are no different than adult services in that they are also designed to exalt the Lord through worship. It is crucial to realize that God has used youth throughout history (Jeremiah 1:5-8; 1 Kings 3:6-9). Being a part of the church, the youth are to serve and function as fellow members of the body of Christ (1 Timothy 4:12; 1 Corinthians 12:12). A large aspect of youth ministry is discipleship and training the youth to live for Christ and serve in the body of Christ.
As a new church plant, we have not yet started any specific Student ministry meetings.
